Notes About this Guide

This guide will show you how to build a Fuzzball workflow in multiple steps using the workflow editor. At the conclusion of every step we will show the resulting Fuzzfile for reference. This will enable you by:

  • introducing the basics of the Fuzzball workflow editor GUI
  • showing the correspondence between the GUI options and the Fuzzfile fields
  • giving you a gentle introduction to Fuzzfiles through the GUI
  • getting you thinking about the elements, requirement, and dependencies of jobs so you can start planning your own workflows

If you prefer to jump in the deep end with a text editor and start creating Fuzzfiles from scratch, you may like the Fuzzfile Syntax Guide instead.

Prerequisites

You must have GUI access to a Fuzzball cluster to use this guide. Check the instructions for logging in via the quick start guide.

To complete every aspect of this guide, you will need access to some minimum compute resources. Talk to an administrator if you cannot run the example workflows because of resource constraints.

Some examples also require you to have volumes and secrets configured. Check the links for more information. If you don’t have those set up yet, don’t worry! You can still learn a lot by completing the parts of the guide that do not require these features.
